Basic Assignments Under the guidance of the Executive Director, the Camp and Outreach Fitness Director administers: After School Programs, Day Camps, In School/After School Fitness, oversees After School Program Coordinators, and Day Camp Coordinators. Must have the ability to administer and implement youth program grants and be active in the Annual Campaign. Supervises After School Programs, In School and After School Fitness, Camp Director and staff, and other youth programming. Major Functions Programmatic:
1. Administer the After School Programs, In School/After School Fitness Programs within the Ravenswood School District, Day Camps on and off site within the East Palo Alto Community.
2. Serve as staff team leader for Youth and Family Programs staff: Directors and Coordinators staff training programs.
3. Manage the promotion for all youth related programs to the community.
4. Develops and executes marketing plan for youth programs.
5. Manage the development and meeting of budgets for all YMCA Day Camp, youth fitness In School/After School, After School Programs and all youth development accounts.
6. Manage the achievement of YMCA philosophy, goals, policies and procedures to staff, program participants, parents, volunteers and the community.
7. Serve a staff liaison to Ravenswood School District, Charter Schools and the Palo Alto Unified School District, Voluntary Transfer Program.
8. Coordinate efforts with those of other community services.
9. Investigate new program opportunities; develop and implement plans for program start-up as appropriate.
10. Serve as staff consultant to youth-related committees and task forces.
11. Responsible for attainment and consistent maintenance of all accreditations policies, procedures, and guidelines for all youth programs.
12. Administer and monitor financial assistance program for youth programs.
13. Responsible for managing personnel files and administration duties of youth and family program staff.
14. Develop recognition and staff retention programs.
15. Explore and pursue fundraising opportunities to support youth and family programs.
16. Create a high degree of involvement and satisfaction in program member members and participants. Increased quality if youth and family programming will be evident in increased enrollment and enhanced reputation of the Lewis and Joan Platt East Palo Alto Family YMCA.

Human Resources
1. Manage the human resource cycle (selection, recruitment, orientation, training, supervision and recognition) for youth and family program staff.
2. Conduct regular one-to-one supervisory conferences with staff supervised, using job description and performance standards to achieve maximum attainment of objectives.
3. Maintain high staff morale and low turnover.
4. Annually complete work performance and review and career assessment with staff supervised.

Branch/Association
1. Attend and participate in branch team meetings.
2. Attend and participate in association staff meetings.
3. Serve on association committees as needed.
4. Serve as staff representative to program committee.
5. Serve as staff representative to branch board of managers.
6. Participate in the development, promotion and the implementation of branch and association special events.
7. Serve as liaison to any association assigned committees.
8. Serve as liaison for the PEP grant for the branch.
9. Serve as a liaison for the Healthy Kids Day for the branch.
10. Serve on Chamber of Commerce, school district and community committees related to education and youth issues.
