Basic Assignments Saturday and Sunday 7:00am-1:00pm (Hours may be flexible)
Major Functions We are looking for an individual who can provide guidance and leadership through fitness orientations and personal training. Must be a great team player with a friendly attitude. This person must work well with members, participants and guests in the following: developing, implementing and monitoring pre- selected fitness programs. These programs may include cardiovascular exercise, strength training, flexibility and more. Must provide guidance, structure and motivation. Must assist members during orientations and offer personal attention to all members. Must conduct proper maintenance and care of fitness equipment, as well as other duties as assigned.  
Qualifications This position requires a commitment to the YMCA mission and its core values of: honesty, respect, responsibility and caring as well as a commitment to building developmental assets in adults and youth. Additionally, this candidate should value diversity, youth, teens and have a broad vision of health and wellness, which is enhanced by relationship building.

The selected individual must be over 18 years of age. This position requires the ability to work with the diverse needs of the members. This individual must possess a professional image and the ability to provide positive feedback, motivation and encouragement. Must be able to set a realistic example of a healthy lifestyle. Certifications required: First Aid, CPR, and AED; New Staff Orientation and Child Abuse Prevention, Principles of the YMCA Health and Fitness and PTI within the first 60 days of employment. Nationally recognized personal training certification and/or a degree in the field is a plus.
