Basic Assignments This position is under the supervision of the Director of Development. It is responsible for identifying grant opportunities, completing grant applications and providing reports to grantors. Will work closely with the departments receiving funds to insure that grants are in compliance, commitments fulfilled and relationships are mutually satisfying.

Major Functions � Work both independently and collaboratively to write, edit and submit public and private grant proposals and applications.
� Research and identify appropriate funding sources using electronic and print mediums, including research on individuals, corporations, foundations and public sources of money.
� Work with the Director of Development in the coordination of various YMCA staff to develop grant concepts and components.
� Research and organize support documentation for a wide variety of grant proposal subjects from resources such as news articles, demographic analyses, surveys, impact statements, environmental scans, research papers, etc.
� Maintain files, records and database of grantors, grants and related activities. Maintain calendar of grant activities.

Qualifications � Bachelors Degree or equivalent education/experience.
� Minimum of two years grant development, which includes editing and writing and evaluation experience
� Minimum of two years experience in researching major gift and/or grant resources, and in researching information for use in grant proposals.
� Strong computer skills, primarily Word, Excel, and Internet
