Basic Assignments 25 hours/week. Monday mornings & Friday afternoons required, remaining days some flexibility in setting final schedule. Desk located in office cubicle.
Major Functions • Provides administrative support to Palo Alto Family YMCA and Association staff.
• Manages/coordinates HR and other sensitive records, including data entry, verification and correction of submitted data, organization, filing and various
• Responsible for data tracking and reporting utilizing records managed by this position.
• Provides excellent customer service, reliability and consistent, timely communication to/with branch and association staff.
• Adheres to and communicates set policies, procedures and timelines.
• Participates as a member of various staff teams, including Admin/Development team, Fingerprint Roller team and Branch Team.
• Attends meetings required of these teams.
 
Qualifications • At least high-school diploma or equivalent,
• At least three years previous experience in administrative or customer service positions. Excellent clerical skills (filing, alphabetizing, records verification/organization, office machinery utilization, etc).
• Comfort in working with numbers
• Comfort using Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, etc)
• Previous data entry and database management experience.
• Excellent customer service skills, tact, patience, discretion, reliability, attention to detail, accuracy, ability to learn quickly, multi-tasking skills
• Ability to both work independently and work as part of a team
• Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Ability to understand and support the YMCA’s mission and core values of responsibility, respect, honesty & caring.
• Attains and maintains current required staff certifications.
