Basic Assignments This position works Monday - Friday 20 hours per week.
Major Functions Under the direction of the Director of Development, the Volunteer Coordinator/ Administrative Assistant manages the Volunteer Program for the Palo Alto Family YMCA. The purpose of this position is to enable the YMCA to recruit, retain, and recognize volunteer members of the YMCA and the community, and to foster opportunities for leadership development and community service. The position occasionally includes some evening or weekend hours. Additional responsibilities include assisting with all phases of campaign administration; including A/R bookkeeping, database management, producing weekly reports and customer service. This is a permanent full time position .  
Qualifications This position requires a person who enjoys working as part of a team, with strong computer skills, a warm personality and a high level of attention to detail. Must be dependable with good follow through and good work ethic. The minimum education level reached must be an associate’s degree in business or social services related work.
